Davis, a safety out of Maryland, was elevated to first-team slot cornerback when Senquez Golson suffered a Lisfranc mid-foot injury. He missed a tackle during the opening drive that led to a 30-yard gain and later committed a 15-yard penalty, but he also snuffed out a screen pass in the red zone that ultimately forces Detroit to settle for a field goal.
