BATON ROUGE, La. -- From now on, Florida defensive tackle Cece Jefferson will think of LSUs Tiger Stadium as Swamp West. Its not simply because the Gators were supposed to host LSU this season before Hurricane Matthew blew ashore in October. There was also the matter of all the chatter suggesting Florida had tried to dodge LSU some six weeks ago -- and had used the storm as an excuse. But when time expired on Saturday, the orange-clad Gators were storming the field in euphoria after a dramatic goal-line stand preserved 16-10 triumph over the heavily favored, 16th-ranked Tigers -- and wrapped up Floridas second straight the Southeastern Conference East Division crown. There was a lot of buildup coming into the game, Gators defensive back Quincy Wilson said. The East was in our hands. The whole thing with the little hurricane and they were saying we were scared or whatever. Clearly, we aint scared. We came into their place and handled business.Florida had balked at initial offers to move the game to LSU as Hurricane Matthew approached in early October, or to play at home one or two days after the originally scheduled time. That left the SEC little choice but to postpone the game until both teams could buy out non-league opponents more than a month later. But LSU refused to give up a home game, forcing Florida to travel if it wanted a shot to play for a conference title. The way I look at it, they got what they deserved -- and it should have been worse, Florida coach Jim McElwain said about LSU.There was trash talking during warmups -- and ultimately a pre-game scuffle. Floridas Wilson was in the middle of it.One of their guys was in my way and I bumped into him on purpose to set it off, Wilson said. It gave us a lot of juice. Because, you know, they were disrespecting us and they disrespected us on the field. So just to send a little message that were not just going to take whatever yall trying to do.Wilson found it fitting that the scuffle began among defensive backs from the two teams. Both programs like to boast that they are DBU, because of all the NFL prospects they seem to have annually in their respective defensive backfields. With that in mind, Florida cornerback Jalen Tabor delighted in the fact that Floridas lone touchdown came on a 98-yard passing play from Austin Appleby to Tyrie Cleveland.DBU? Tabor said incredulously, referring to the longest scoring pass LSU has ever allowed in Tiger Stadium. Oh, wow!Several Gators made reference to their 6-0 record at home this season, even thought theyd played only five true home games in the real Swamp. It was also a special moment for veteran Gators who had yet to beat LSU. The Tigers had won the previous three meetings. Its the greatest feeling in the world man, because we just felt disrespected, you feel me? Florida defensive tackle Caleb Brantley said. Like, youre going to come at us and say were scared, when yall didnt want to come to Gainesville? So, you know what Im saying? We just going to come whoop yall in yalls stadium. Straight, like that.Brantley called the raucous celebration that erupted after LSU running back Derrius Guice was stopped inches short of the goal line on the final play one of the best feelings I ever had as a Gator.Someone then asked about another rivalry game notorious for trash talking that is next on the schedule: Floridas visit to Florida State next Saturday.Ill look at Florida State tomorrow, Brantley said. Right now, Im enjoying this.---More AP college football: www.collegefootball.ap.org and https://twitter.com/AP-Top25Cowboys Jerseys China . VIENNA -- Six-time Olympic medalist Bode Miller has sued ski manufacturer Head as he wants to resume World Cup racing with a different equipment supplier.Miller ended his nearly 10-year-long partnership with the Austrian-based company in 2015 and signed an agreement not to wear a different ski brand in World Cup or world championship races for the following two years. The American, who sat out last season, now plans to return to the World Cup on skis from New York-based brand Bomber, which he helped develop, and has asked the court to void his agreement with Head.In a statement on the companys Facebook page on Monday, Head CEO Johan Eliasch said hes truly very disappointed to see that Bode has no intention to honor his word and that he intends to breach our agreement to that effect. We will take every action to enforce our rights against Bode, Eliasch said. That said, Head would welcome Bodes return to World Cup racing, but it has to be on Head equipment.A two-time overall champion, Miller has not competed on the World Cup circuit since March 2014. A few months later, he underwent back surgery before taking part in the 2015 world championships in Beaver Creek, where he severed his hamstring tendon in a nasty crash during the opening super-G race.Miller, who turns 39 next month, never formally retired but hinted several times he was not planning to return to competitive skiing. In the federal lawsuit filed in Santa Ana, California, last week, Millers attorneys said that Bode realized that his viability and marketability as a professional ski racer were rapidly dwindling, and that he needed to explore the possibility of coming out of retirement so that he could obtain quality endorsements to prootect his familys financial future.ddddddddddddThey added that Bode discussed his financial concerns with (Bomber principal Robert) Siegel, and, in particular, the two discussed the possibility that Bode would return to racing in the 2016/2017 World Cup and world championship season.According to Millers attorneys, it is likely Bodes last real opportunity to competitively compete on the World Cup racing circuit and attract the lucrative endorsements needed to provide for his family. The World Cup season starts in Soelden, Austria on Oct. 23, and the world championships take place in St. Moritz, Switzerland, on Feb. 6-19, 2017.Head race director Rainer Salzgeber told Austrian radio station ORF Vorarlberg that Miller initially didnt intend to race anymore but apparently changed his mind. Our contract ran through 2016 but in 2015 he wanted to terminate it early, Salzgeber said. He signed an agreement he would not compete on different skis. That was not signed just for fun. He put his signature on it. Lets see what we can do.Miller has been using Head skis, boots and bindings since 2006, a year before he broke away from the U.S. ski team to set up his own independent team. He returned to the American national team two years later. The Easton, New Hampshire born who lives in Coto de Caza, California, earned gold in the super-combined event at the 2010 Vancouver Games and won five more Olympic medals, most recently super-G bronze at the 2014 Sochi Games.A four-time world champion, Miller won 33 World Cup races and took the overall title in 2005 and again three years later.
