PHILADELPHIA -- Todd Herremans showed up with a braided Mohawk haircut. Jeremy Maclin wore a T-shirt that read: "Im that Dude." DeSean Jackson, fittingly, looked like a rap star. Its a new era in Philadelphia. Time to kickoff Camp Chip Kelly. All 90 Eagles reported well before the deadline for arrival Thursday, and they were ready to go and eager to start fresh after last years miserable 4-12 finish under Andy Reid. "Ive been excited every day Ive been here," Kelly said. "I think our guys, Im trying to get that mindset for all of them. Its not, Lets get excited because its the first day of camp, and the third day of camp youre bored. You have to be excited to be out here with an opportunity to work with a bunch of guys. We have an outstanding staff, and the players have been outstanding in terms of their reception and them wanting to get better. "I was excited when I got here on the 16th of January, and its the same today. Just because we get a chance to get back out on the field, I dont think it changes that." Kelly holds his first full squad practice Friday, and the pads come on Sunday when the team moves over to Lincoln Financial Field and opens the doors to fans. More than 60,000 tickets already have been distributed for the practice. Theres quite a buzz circulating in the city and throughout camp, which is being held at the teams practice facility in Philadelphia after 17 years at Lehigh University. "Its like being home," tight end Brent Celek said. "And, you sleep better." Kelly replaced Reid, who was fired after 14 mostly successful seasons in which he led the Eagles to nine playoff appearances, six division titles, five conference championship games and one Super Bowl loss. The team lured Kelly away from Oregon, where he led the Ducks to a 46-7 record in four seasons and turned the program into a national powerhouse. Kelly is known for his innovative, high-octane offence, so its no surprise that hell be in control on game days. Offensive co-ordinator Pat Shurmur, the former Cleveland Browns coach, already said Kelly will be calling the plays. Everyone is interested to see how Kellys system translates in the NFL. "Its one of the principles that makes the offence successful," Shurmur said. "I think as time has gone on, youve seen that increase-paced, high-tempo type offence work its way into the NFL. Its a lot of what we do and I think its very important." The biggest question, of course, is which quarterback will be operating the offence. Michael Vick, Nick Foles and rookie Matt Barkley are competing for the starting job, and each has expressed confidence in his ability to be the No. 1 guy. Jackson and Maclin, the two starting wide receivers, faced questions about camps most intriguing battle. "Competition level is great," Jackson said. "I think we got four great quarterbacks that can all contribute to helping us win. At the end of the day, I say Vicks been here, hes going on 11 or 12 years and I just think hes accomplished some great things. But Nicks a great player, nothing to take away from him, never said anything bad about him." Maclin didnt have an opinion on the QB competition. "You cant get caught up in that," he said. "Thats a job thats going to come from the coaches. Thats a decision that will come from the coaches. All we can do, as receivers, whoevers out there throwing the ball, be accountable and go out there and make plays for them." Jackson had a busy off-season. He recently released a rap single and video called "Diamonds On My Neck," featuring Snoop Dogg. "Thats my other style," Jackson said of his hip-hop career. "Thats something I like doing. Im definitely a young kid, born and raised where I came from. So thats whats in me. Not to say I dont have a great time and fun having my Snoop in my videos and things like that. Im really able to understand the business. "Its definitely not an easy business to be in, just like football." Air Jordan 1 Pas Cher France . 8 Kansas to a 64-63 win over Texas Tech on Tuesday night. Yeezy 350 Acheter . -- Aldon Smith believes he is on the path to being sober for good. EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- With the New York Giants having lost three games in a row, every part of the team has been scrutinized. And no one has been spared, not even two-time Super Bowl MVP quarterback Eli Manning. His teammates defended him at practice Wednesday, insisting that Manning is still a top-flight quarterback and saying everyone on the team needs to play better, not just Manning.I think when things go wrong, everyone needs something to point at, and its easy to point the finger here and there, wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. said. But internally, between all of us, we all need to play better; we all need to do things to make it easier on (Manning), make it easier on ourselves -- everybody needs to step it up.Elis a tremendous quarterback, running back Rashad Jennings said. He understands the position; a lot of times, the success and failures, the most critics go to the quarterback. But quarterback ratings, and stats, are collectively attained stats, so we have to play better. Its not all on one person, at all -- especially Eli.Manning has completed 63.6 percent of his passes on the season, for 1,385 yards, with five touchdowns, four interceptions and a quarterback rating of 86.dddddddddddd. No one was wondering whether he was over the hill after the Giants opened up the season winning their first two games, of course. But the chatter started to pick up after the Green Bay loss, when he completed 18 of 35 passes for 199 yards and a touchdown. At 35, some wondered if he may be a quarterback in decline. His teammates dont want to hear that, though.Listen man, whoever says that... its just an immature statement, Jennings said. Hes not on the decline at all. Elis a tremendous quarterback, and well continue to win with him. And so, obviously, weve had losses; he has big shoulders, and being in a locker beside him for three years, he always takes on (stuff), and look at himself in the mirror first. But we cant do that to him. No. Its definitely the team. The offensive side of the ball needs to step it up.Wide receiver Victor Cruz said he doesnt see the end in sight for Manning.I hope he plays until hes 55, Cruz said. ' ' '
