DENVER --The Denver Broncos had questions about the injury status of four starters coming into Sundays game against the San Diego Chargers. It turned out that two -- cornerback Aqib Talib and linebacker Brandon Marshall -- did not improve enough to play in the key AFC West game.Talib and Marshall were among the Broncos seven game-day inactives. That news was tempered somewhat by the return of linebacker DeMarcus Ware, who will be in uniform for the first time since he fractured his left forearm in the Broncos Week 2 win over the Indianapolis Colts.Talib (back) practiced on Friday after being held out of Wednesdays and Thursdays practices. Marshall (hamstring) was limited Friday after being held out of the previous practices.Sunday is the third regular-season game Talib, who leads the team in interceptions with three, has missed since he signed with the Broncos in 2014.?Bradley Roby will start in Talibs left cornerback spot and?Kayvon Webster will be asked to play more in the Broncos specialty packages.Corey Nelson will play in Marshalls place.Coreys done a good job, Broncos coach Gary Kubiak said this past week. Coreys a guy whos been working hard, kind of waiting for an opportunity, and [we] thought he did a really good job with it. ... We trust Corey.Center?Matt Paradis (hip) was the other starter to miss significant practice time this week. Paradis, the Broncos only player on offense or defense to play every snap last season, did not practice Wednesday, Thursday or Friday. But Paradis was set to start Sunday, something Kubiak hinted at after Fridays practice when he said, This is something Matts played through before. ... Can Matt go play and lead our group on Sunday without practicing? Yes. No doubt about that.Ware will wear protective padding on his left arm, and has said all along when he returned to the lineup that he wanted to make sure he could use the arm effectively.I play on the right side so the majority of the time when I punch a guy, Im punching with my left arm. But when you hit, no matter how big the pad is, that shocking sensation going through that bone, Ware said earlier this week. Just making sure that its not as painful every single time, because every time that I hit somebody, 30 plays, 50 plays, you want to be comfortable out there and not in too much pain.Jordan China .
