Mark Hughes has backed Stoke City to bounce back from defeat to Everton From our point of view, we need to have a much better level than we were able to show today, Hughes told Sky Sports. Were struggling a bit defensively and continuity in terms of selection isnt there at the moment. But well get that right. Hopefully next week well have some players back and well look a bit more solid.Weve invested a lot in the team and theres responsibility on us all to produce, myself included.Well get it right. Weve got a clear week for the first time in a number of weeks and we can get some good work in. That will help us leading into Bournemouth next week.Hughes handed new club record signing Giannelli Imbula a debut and the Stoke boss was pleased with his £18.3m mans contribution on what was a difficult day for the club. Giannelli Imbula made his Stoke debut in the 3-0 defeat to Everton I thought he did well, Hughes added.Obviously on a disappointing day, he was the one positive for us. When he got on the ball, he showed he was comfortable in possession. Hell drive the game for us.It was difficult given the circumstances of the game for him to dominate but he will be a good player for us. I think he will be a good player for us.He showed in glimpses hes got the quality we want.
